Johnny Was is a Los Angeles-based clothing and accessories brand that sells women's apparel with a vintage-inspired, boho-chic style. The brand's name comes from Bob Marley's song “Johnny Was a Good Man," which was playing when Eli Levite, the founder, started conceptualizing the business in the late 1980s.
